Where’s Wally? Come here to find out
AN exhibition centering on the popular British cartoon series “Where’s Wally?” is underway at the Shanghai World Financial Center.
The exhibition on the 94th, 97th and 100th floors runs through the end of December. Displays on the 423-meter Sky Arena 94 include six sections about ancient Egypt, the Colosseum, the Crusades, pirates, the US gold rush and the future.
Wally’s distinctive red-and-white-striped shirt, bobble hat, and glasses make him easier to recognize among these sections. Eleven original works of the English illustrator Martin Handford who created “Where’s Wally” in 1987 are displayed on the 97th floor.
“Where’s Wally?”, published in the US as “Where’s Waldo?”, consists of a series of illustrations depicting dozens or more people doing a variety of amusing things at various locations. Readers have to find Wally.
