Woman in police custody after child found dead

A baby boy was found dead in a waste bin in Songjiang District on Sunday, and a woman in her 20s was taken into police custody on that same day in connection with the matter, police announced on Monday.
Police said the baby’s neck bore a scratch, possibly inflicted by a sharp tool. An investigation into the boy’s death is still underway, according to authorities.
