Woman makes naked attempt to escape police after traffic stop

A WOMAN stripped off her clothes in an effort to escape after she was fined for driving on the wrong side of the road yesterday morning in Shanghai, officers said.
This middle-aged woman was driving an electronic bike on the wrong side of Waiqingsong Road and was stopped by police at Gongyuan Road, Xinmin.com reported. Far from being contrite, she threw the notice of the fine of 50 yuan (US$8.20) back at an officer and ran to the crossroads to stop traffic, the report said.
The officer hurried to stop her, the report said, so she began to take off her clothes in an apparent effort to get back on her bike and get away — barely. A witness said she also damaged the officer’s trousers during the confrontation.
