THE No.455 Hospital of People’s Liberation Army began using a helmet that fires lasers at the scalp to treat baldness on patients yesterday. The technology, which has been approved by the US-based Food and Drug Administration, is being introduced to China’s mainland by the hospital. The lasers target follicles and stimulate hair growth, said officials. However, it is not suitable for severe hair loss.
