Zoos to increase prices for visits

THE city's two zoos will soon raise the prices of admission, officials said yesterday, citing increased costs, particularly in food for animals.
The new charges will range between 10 yuan (US$1.46) and 30 yuan for Shanghai Zoo and Shanghai Wildlife Park. The two zoos said costs had been steadily rising and there had not been an adjustment since 2003.
