City leaders congratulate award-winning police officers

SHANGHAI Party Secretary Han Zheng and Mayor Yang Xiong praised local police officers and representatives of model police units for receiving national awards for their outstanding service in a meeting on Tuesday.
They shook hands with Zhang Baofa, Chen Dehua and Jiang Jun who were given the title of “Most Respected Policeman” and the representatives of other award-winning police units.
Han said Shanghai’s policemen, firefighters and armed police officers contributed enormously to social stability and public security with dedication and skills.
He said he hoped the city’s police units will continue to strengthen training and enhance their capabilities to meet the expectation of the government and the people.
Other Shanghai officials, Ying Yong, Jiang Ping, Yin Hong and Bai Shaokang, joined the meeting.
