Han Zheng meets HK chamber of commerce delegation
沪港相互启发相互促进 韩正会见香港中华总商会访问团

SHANGHAI Party Secretary Han Zheng met Dr. Charles Yeung, chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and his delegation on March 30.

Han said that with China’s reform and opening in the past 30 years, many Hong Kong companies have invested in Shanghai. They witnessed and participated in the city’s economic take-off.

He said Shanghai is striving to become an international financial, shipping, economic and trade center and a global innovation center. Hong Kong has many advantages, such as its talent pool and market systems. The two cities should expand cooperation, share experiences and inspire each other to achieve mutual progress.

Han briefed the delegation on developments in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and welcomed Hong Kong entrepreneurs to participate in the construction of the free trade zone.

The delegation members thanked Shanghai for creating good business environment for Hong Kong enterprises and said Shanghai’s development provided many investment opportunities for them. They are paying close attention to the development of Shanghai FTZ and want to make new contribution to Shanghai-Hong Kong cooperation.
