Han Zheng meets Rolls-Royce chief executive

SHANGHAI Party Secretary Han Zheng met John Rishton, chief executive of Rolls-Royce Plc on August 6.
Han said Shanghai’s economy has been running smoothly and the service sector is having a bigger share of the city’s total economic output. Local aviation and related industries have a promising future.
He said Shanghai is striving to become an international shipping center. He is glad that Rolls-Royce has close cooperation with Chinese aviation companies, particularly China Eastern Airlines.
The Party boss added that Shanghai will continue to improve its business environment for all enterprises and support win-win cooperation between companies.
Rishton said Rolls-Royce has extensive cooperation with Chinese companies particularly China Eastern Airlines in areas of civil aviation, ship propulsion system, engine and energy development.
Rishton said the company hopes to expand cooperation with Shanghai companies in aircraft engine maintenance and repair.
