SHANGHAI Party Secretary Han Zheng met Roland Busch, member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG, last week.
Han said that Shanghai has to replace its development drives to fully adopt innovation-driven economy during the 13th Five-Year Plan from 2016 to 2020.
Han continued that the “Made in China 2025” is the key future strategy for China’s real economy and he is glad to see that Shanghai and Siemens are deepening cooperation in advanced manufacturing industry and Siemens’ measures to serve small and medium-size enterprises will also help promote business starting and innovation in the city.
Han also said that Shanghai is following the Chinese central government’s strategies to innovate on systems and spare no efforts in promoting the development of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, hoping to create better opportunities for domestic and foreign companies to cooperate and develop.
Busch said that Shanghai is one of the key markets of Siemens. This city has deep innovative spirit and talent pool so he hoped that Siemens can further enhance cooperation with Shanghai in fields such as smart city, intelligent infrastructure and SME services.
Busch added that Siemens pays close attention to the development of the Shanghai FTZ and hopes to develop further on the platform.
