Han Zheng talks with US Presidential Trade Mission
一如既往支持中外企业在沪发展 韩正会见美总统贸易代表团

SHANGHAI Party Secretary Han Zheng met the US Presidential Trade Mission to China led by the US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker in the city yesterday.

Han briefed the guests on developments in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and answered their questions concerning copyright protection, use of clean energy, and international cooperation.

Han said that Chinese government and the people are united in environmental protection. Shanghai gives priority to the promotion of clean energy and new energy and is cooperating with the US regional governments and enterprises.

He said Shanghai will continue to improve business environment and provide services and support to domestic and foreign companies in the city and protect their intellectual properties to encourage innovation.

Pritzker said their China visit is to implement agreements made by the two countries’ leaders in Beijing last November and to promote bilateral cooperation in Smart City, Smart Grid and renewable energy development.

She said the United States and China can deepen cooperation and she is keen to see American companies find new business opportunities in Shanghai.

Pudong New Area Party Secretary Shen Xiaoming, US Deputy Secretary of Energy Liz Sherwood-Randall, and US Ambassador to China Max Baucus joined the meeting.
