Han meets Czech Prime Minister
促进上海与捷克各地务实合作 韩正会见捷克总理索博特卡

SHANGHAI Party Secretary Han Zheng met Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka on Sunday and discussed cooperation.

Han said that China and Czech have closer ties and more and more Chinese companies have invested in Czech as China adopts the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. Shanghai and Czech cities have deepened cooperation in fields such as economic and trade, sports and culture.

He said that Czech has been the chief guest country in China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair to showcase their recent fruits of advanced manufacturing industry. He believed that Czech Prime Minister’s visit and his participation in the fourth China-Central and Eastern European countries Leaders’ Conference will further promote practical cooperation between China and Czech Republic as well as Shanghai and Czech cities.

Han pledged that Shanghai is keen to make greater contributions to the friendly cooperation between China and Czech Republic under the frameworks set up by both countries’ top leaders.

Sobotka said that China’s adoption of the “One belt, One Road” initiative will further enhance cooperation between Czech and China.

He added that Shanghai, as China’s economic center, has long term all-round cooperation with Czech cities in fields such as economy, trade, culture, sports and aviation.

Sobotka hoped that his visit will further promote Czech-China relationship and achieve better cooperation between Shanghai and Czech Republic.

Han and Sobotka also witnessed cooperation deal signing between Shanghai Disease Control and Prevention Center and Shanghai Chest Hospital and their Czech partners.

Ma Keqing, Chinese ambassador to Czech and Yin Hong, secretary-general of the CPC Shanghai Committee also joined the activities.
