IBLAC conference to focus on FTZ

SHANGHAI Party Secretary Han Zheng met Orit Gadiesh, chairman of the International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Shanghai and board chairman of Bain & Company on September 9.
Han said that the council will hold its annual conference in early November, focusing on accelerating construction of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
Han said the municipal government is looking forward to hear comments on the FTZ from international business leaders and suggestions on its future development.
The municipal government has entrusted a third-party institution to evaluate the FTZ development. Han hoped that opinions and suggestions from all parties can help deepen the reforms and make further plans on the FTZ while expanding its experiences nationwide.
Gadiesh said the FTZ will surely become the focus at this year’s IBLAC’s conference.
She hoped that comments and suggestions of the council members will help boost the development of the FTZ.
