Mayor talks with Roland Berger CEO

SHANGHAI Mayor Yang Xiong met Roland Berger Strategy Consultants Global CEO Charles-Edouard Bouée on Monday.
Yang said Shanghai’s main task this year is to speed up its transformation into a global innovation center and to build the Shanghai Free Trade Zone after its recent expansion. This shows the city’s determination to carry on reform and opening and to restructure the economy.
The mayor said Shanghai is keen to learn from other countries that have experiences for innovation-driven development and Industry 4.0. Shanghai wants to follow the global trend and become one of the world’s innovation centers with strong links with other centers.
Yang said the city welcomes suggestions from Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and other foreign companies for Shanghai’s development.
Charles-Edouard Bouée introduced the experiences of some countries in promoting Industry 4.0 and technological innovation.
He said Shanghai should find the right path to becoming a global innovation center. Roland Berger is keen to contribute to Shanghai’s development.
