Wu Zhiming meets guests from St. Petersburg
双方互办交流合作项目 市政协领导会见圣彼得堡市客人

CPPCC Shanghai Committee chairman Wu Zhiming received a Russian delegation led by Public Chamber of St. Petersburg chairman Nikolai V. Burov yesterday. Wu briefed the guests on the role of his committee.
Wu said Shanghai and St. Petersburg have cooperated fruitfully in economy, trade, culture and education. The CPPCC Shanghai Committee and the Public Chamber of St. Petersburg signed a memorandum of understanding in 2011 to carry out long-term friendly exchanges.
He said the delegation’s visit to unveil a photo exhibition featuring St. Petersburg marked the start of the friendly exchanges in 2015. China and Russia will both celebrate the 70th anniversary of the end of the World War Two this year. Shanghai and St. Petersburg should strengthen mutual understanding and friendship.
Burov said the two cities have a good foundation for cooperation. His chamber will do more to boost exchanges and friendship between the two cities.
