Ying Yong meets Vincent Siew from Taiwan
深化沪台经贸合作交流 应勇会见萧万长一行

SHANGHAI Mayor Ying Yong met Vincent C. Siew, honorary chairman of the Cross-Straits Common Market Foundation of Taiwan, on Wednesday.
Ying said that the peaceful relationship between the mainland and Taiwan and the revitalization of the Chinese nation are the common expectations of people across the straits.
He said Shanghai and Taiwan should strengthen cooperation in economy and trade on the basis of the 1992 Consensus.
Siew said he was glad to see Taipei and Shanghai have close ties and cooperation and he hoped the two cities can learn from each other and seek mutual development.
