CHINESE actress Zhang Ziyi has blasted paparazzi for taking photos of her topless while vacationing on a Caribbean beach.
Use of each topless photo was being sold online for about US$390, the Hong Kong-based Wen Wei Po reported yesterday.
Major Chinese Web portals published a set of 82 photos showing a relaxed Zhang with her fiance Vivi Nevo on St Barts Island.
The photos attracted more than 750,000 hits on Monday on Tianya.cn, one of the most popular Internet forums in China.
Zhang is pictured in the photos wearing a red bikini. She took off the top when sunbathing with Nevo, and some photos show her half-naked buttocks.
Zhang, who has starred in a series of hit films including "Forever Enthralled," told a United States newspaper that she was angry and surprised to find the photos online.
There were no reports about whether legal action was being considered.
