Actress blasts paparazzi for topless photos

CHINESE actress Zhang Ziyi has blasted paparazzi photographers for taking photos of her topless on a private holiday with her fiancé on a Caribbean beach.
Each of the topless photos was auctioned online for about US$390, the Hong Kong-based Wen Wei Po newspaper reported today.
Major Chinese Web portals have published a set of 82 photos showing the relaxed friendship between Zhang and Vivi Nevo on St-Barts Island.
The photos attracted more than 750,000 visits yesterday on Tianya.cn, one of the most popular Internet forums in China.
Zhang is pictured in the photos wearing a red bikini. She took off the top when sunbathing with Vivi and some photos show her half-naked buttocks with loosened g-string.
Zhang, the actress who starred in "Forever Enthralled," told the newspaper from her US home that she was very angry and surprised to find the photos online.
Her agent Ji Lingling told Wen Wei Po they were taken in the privacy of Zhang's normal life.
Zhang and Ji were reported to be busy handling reaction to the photos that have been posted by a dozen domestic Websites.
There were no reports about legal action being taken.
