Death term given to the rapist of girls

A FORMER school principal in Fujian Province has been sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve for raping underage girls.
Quanzhou City Intermediate People's Court also convicted 17 others along with former principal Xu Xinjian yesterday on charges including organizing prostitution and engaging in sex with underage girls.
Xu said he was framed and will appeal. Xu was said to be obsessed with having sex with underage virgins because he believed it would cure his bowel disease, Dongnan Zaobao newspaper reported yesterday. He paid a pimp 6,000 yuan (US$878) for each girl, the court heard.
Zhen Wenshan, a former member of Anxi County's legislature in Fujian, was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Another five suspects who had sex with five girls under 14 years old were jailed between five and 13 years.
Yang Xiangsi, 18, the main organizer who forced schoolgirls into prostitution, was sentenced to life imprisonment. She and 11 others also plan to appeal.
The scandal came to light after the parents of an underage girl discovered their daughter had been forced into prostitution.
