Diary reveals slayer's wish to kill

A MAN who allegedly massacred his father and 12 close relatives in central China's Hunan Province last Saturday had wanted to kill them two years previously, according to his diary.

In his diary dated March 2007, Liu Aibing, 34, desperately scribbled: "I'm divorced, have a broken leg and have no hopes, all blame lies with my parents," his sister told China News Service today.

Liu has been arrested after allegedly carrying out the killing spree with two shotguns and a hatchet before dawn in his home village in Anhua County, Yiyang City, and setting fire to six houses.

His former wife, who was not named, told China News Service she was shocked once to read in his diary that he would kill all his family if he lost the will to live.

The couple had no contact after divorcing in 2007, and she said Liu wouldn't pay maintenance so was denied access to her son.

Liu's sister said he began acting paranoid last year, claiming that killers were out to get him.

One survivor of the massacre is being treated at a hospital.
