Renowned Chinese Writer Yang Jiang dies at age 104
CHINESE writer Yang Jiang has died at age 104.
Yang died Wednesday morning at Peking Union Medical College Hospital in Beijing, according to The Paper.
Her death was confirmed by her publisher, the People's Literature Publishing House.
Married to renowned Chinese scholar/novelist Qian Zhongshu (1910-98), the Oxford graduate and translator herself is a high-profile scholar.
Yang is famous for her writing style, which balances comedy and objective reporting. Yang was born on July 17, 1911 in Beijing.
