A newly-wed couple in Yongzhou, central Hunan Province desires a sex change so that they can swap roles in the family.
The 37-year-old husband Chen Li has a feminine tendency and likes to live in other's care, while his wife Jiang Ling is tired of her grumpy mother-in-law and wants the sex change to get the old lady off her back.
The couple wishes to have a child before their sex change operations and they will remain a married couple, according to a report on rednet.cn.
Chen is shy and timid when talking to strangers. "I didn't realize I'm feminine at heart until one day I felt so good leaning on a tough boy at the boarding school," he says.
Jiang was divorced before marrying Chen, which is the cause of her mother-in-law's constant criticism. "If I were a man, I would not be cursed by my mother-in-law any more," she says.
