Crocodile surprises workers at Shanghai construction site

WORKERS at a Metro construction site in Shanghai got a big surprise this morning when they turned up for work and found a 1.5-meter crocodile.
The reptile was found around 5am at the construction site for a Line 10 station on Siping Road in Yangpu District, Xinmin.cn reported today.
The crocodile was first spotted by a worker surnamed Wang. It was behind an electric switch box and its mouth had been sealed with yellow adhesive tape.
Wang told Xinmin.cn that it acted violently, but that nobody was hurt by it.
Fireman captured the creature and it is now safely tied up in their training yard waiting for animal experts to identify it and send it back to where it belongs.
The report said the construction workers thought the crocodile might have escaped from a nearby restaurant, but no restaurants have claimed the reptile.
