Lovers want look-alike surgery
A would-be couple in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, decided to undergo plastic surgery to look like twins to mark their last Qixi Festival, the Chinese Valentine's, before their wedding in October.
The 25-year-old bride Xiao Ya told Chutian Metropolis Daily that they envy couples who look alike and want to have the cosmetic surgery at the lunar Qixi Festival, which is today.
Some Chinese believe that lovers with same features are more likely to get married and live a happy life. Plastic surgeries to improve chance of marriage are not uncommon, some hospitals said.
Doctor Guo Liang recommended the Wuhan couple to have a nose enhancement surgery for each of them after he studied their faces and the couple agreed, the paper said.
