Reader charmed by article on Hanoi's old trees

DEAR Mr Wang Yong,
Thank you very much for sending me the article ("Cherished trees still standing in charming and low-rise Hanoi," Shanghai Daily, December 12).
Everybody in our hotel has read it now and it's such an interesting writing!
As you mentioned, we also expect that Hanoi may always keep this green environment like it does at present.
I also have read a few articles of Mr Andrew Lam but the one you sent me is very special ("It's hard for Asian ghosts to cross to America," Shanghai Daily, December 12).
I noticed that he put a lot of religious belief in his writing, which makes his article so meaningful.
Sometimes it is not easy to publish that kind of article in Vietnam because many people now would think it is crazy to talk about ghosts or spirits.
Once again, we appreciate your article so much and are proud to have a Chinese customer who loves our capital so much as you.
