A tree speaks

MY ancestors lived on the Earth much earlier than when there were you human beings.
Like my ancestors, I lived in harmony with mankind for a long time until recently. I am 100 years old now, and I can't understand why you guys want to uproot us?
There's a human saying: trees die if they move, but men live better if they move. As such, why don't you human guys move to other places, such as other planets? Why do you chop us down again and again?
And you guys have been talking about animal welfare. But are plants not equal with animals? Shouldn't there be plant welfare as well?
Five years ago, about 100 of my friends were moved to make way for a subway project (in Nanjing).
Later, 80 percent of them died because of relocation. How sad I was.
