It's not fair to bash tourists for a few bad apples

THE domestic media have spent a lot of time criticizing some Chinese travelers' bad manners during their trips abroad and exaggerate some incidents to draw a conclusion that Chinese visitors are not welcomed.

It is unjust that our nation should bear the blame for the actions of a small number of rude people. Actually, most Chinese travelers behave extremely well and win regard from foreigners.

During our overseas tours, we often send gifts to adorable foreign babies, care for stray cats and never hesitate to offer tips.

Sometimes we are placed at the center of media criticism by bargaining with shop owners and preferring luxurious items. However, these habits cannot be described as demerits.

Iran is another country to be "demonized" by certain media. The fact is that Iranians are polite and hospitable. The media should maintain an objective view and focus on the majority of people.
