70 sports events for Shanghai in 2009

SHANGHAI will host 70 sports events this year, the Shanghai Sports Administration said yesterday.
The Formula One China Grand Prix will be staged for the sixth straight year, but has been moved up on the F1 calender. The year's third race will now be held from April 17-19. It was staged in October this year. Also, the year-ending Tennis Masters Cup will make way for the ATP Masters series. Some of the other top-tier events include the ongoing Asia League Ice Hockey tournament, the track and field Golden Grand Prix, Snooker Masters, golf's HSBC Champions, badminton's China Open, Dongli Cup International Marathon, and Chongming Island Women's International Road Cycling.
