Paradorn's plan

FORMER No. 9-ranked Paradorn Srichaphan has targeted a return to the ATP Tour in the second half of this year after being encouraged that his long-term hand and wrist problems will be cured by upcoming surgery. Paradorn, 29, is scheduled to have an operation next week to correct the problems that had kept him off the tour since early 2007. The Thai player had been encouraged by the diagnosis of a fracture in the hamate bone -- between the wrist and the metacarpals leading to the ring and little fingers.
