What should you give your mom for Mother's Day on Sunday? Flowers, candy and a spa trip are almost always well received, but not that original.
Shanghai Daily recommends some mobile applications (all can be found in Apple's App Store), especially for mothers who know a little technology and own an iPhone or iPad.
These cover everything from recipes, to fashionable clothes and electronic cards. Whether your mother is just starting out with a smartphone or really good with gadgets, these applications do work.
For busy moms there are personal assistant apps to help them organize their schedules. For moms-to-be there are apps that will help them find the perfect name, and baby monitors that will keep a watchful eye on newborns. And for moms with lots of hungry kids there are shopping and recipe apps.
Meanwhile, these gifts are probably the most convenient and fashionable way for people who can't meet their mom on Mother's Day.
