Artistic dialogue between East and West

REG’ART is an art project based on a artistic dialogue between two sensibilities and two cultures: the Artist and the Co-Creator, one Chinese the other Western or vice-versa. These dialogues take place over several meetings where co-creators and artists will discover each other (in all meanings of the word) the theme: “The Beauty I See In You.”

They will share their different visions, and through art, they will discover each other’s culture as well as the different views of self and beauty in order to co-create a piece of art. The artists participants in this year’s Reg’Art project include Chinese artists Sara Zhou, Li Zaiming, Yuan Chongyin, Hu Renyi, American artist Alex Carroll, French artists Christian Chambenoit and Sebastien Mahon.

The project will conclude with a reception and an auction of all matched artists and co-creators’ artworks. All funds are planned to be directed to the Atelier Art School to provide art classes for underprivileged children in China.

Founded in September 2012, Atelier Art School offers kids’ art classes in Beijing and also organizes art classes in collaborations with NGOs to offer underprivileged children from different backgrounds (orphans, street kids, blind kids) the opportunity to create art. The children flourish in a safe and secure environment where they can expand and develop their ideas and feelings.
