SPRING is here! So why not spend some time today at the Knowledge and Innovation Community in northeast Yangpu District, digging through items people are getting rid of as part of their spring cleaning, or finding homes for things you no longer use.
Charity flea markets are always popular among young people and fashionistas who want to hunt down bargains and make room in their overflowing closets for new fashions as well. They bring people together for a fun day out, providing a great opportunity for rummaging around among everything from clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories to handicrafts, books, appliances, toys, pet items, kitchenware and art crafts.
If you are tempted to embark on some wheeling and dealing yourself, stalls cost 160 yuan (US$26). Be sure to check the stall information by email.
Admission is 1 yuan and proceeds help raise money for needy families in the community.
