Humane control for strays

FOR years, people have limited stray cats by killing them. But a better way, called “TNR,” will soon be launched by ThinkAdoption, an animal welfare organization.
TNR, for trap, neuter and return, is the most humane way to control stray cats. TNR also is a blow to cat meat trafficking. Every year, thousands of stray cats are sold by vendors and served as dishes in small restaurants, which poses a threat to customers’ health.
“This matter will draw more attention and involvement from everyone and it will benefit the situation of stray cats,” said Chris Lau, founder of ThinkAdoption.
