CORNING Corp, whose glass is used in iPhones and iPads, showcased its latest glass products during the FPD (Flat Panel Display) China 2012 exhibition, which ended yesterday in Shanghai.
The new Lotus Glass features a high performance display while the Gorilla Glass 2 features damage resistance and super slim size.
The global glass substrate market will jump to 3.6 billion square feet this year, compared with 3.2 billion square feet in 2011, according to Corning, the world's No. 1 glass substrate provider.
Corning's glass is widely used in smart phones, TVs and laptops.
