Recipe: freshwater shrimp boiled in beer
FOR fans of the beer duck who are looking for something creative, the freshwater shrimp can also be cooked in beer for extra flavor.
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
250 grams of live freshwater shrimp
3 slices of ginger
A couple of green onion, only take the green part, cut in small sections
1 can of beer, about 500ml
1 tablespoon of oil
A few Sichuan peppercorns
Salt and sugar
Steps:
1. First, thoroughly rinse the shrimps under running water and pick out the bad ones.
2. In a wok, add the oil and lightly sauté the green onion and ginger till the aroma comes out.
3. Pour in the can of beer and wait till it’s about to boil, add the shrimp and Sichuan peppercorns, salt and sugar, cook for a little while and constantly remove the foam on top.
4. The dish is ready to serve.
