MORE than 1,000 pure-bred dogs, star pets and a special Tibetan mastiff section are among highlights at this year's Shanghai International Dog Show, which runs from Friday to Sunday at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.
The show, covering an area of 12,000 square meters, features agility dog performances, dog obedience performances and a pet show.
Breeds on display include the Brittany hound, Doberman Pinscher and Akita. You can also see Tibetan mastiffs in different colors, including solid black, black and tan, and red at Tibetan Mastiffs cultural section.
The event also features the China Kennel Union All Breeds Championship Show and China Kennel Union Beautician Qualifying Examination. Animal lovers can come to visit and learn some training skills from the performances.
