Strawberry Music Festival to feature more variety this year

THE Strawberry Music Festival, with more pop and soft music, will make its third appearance at Shanghai Expo Park. The international outdoor festival will run from May 1-3.
Around 30 musical groups will take the stage, including Shanghai, Chinese and overseas musicians. Five stages will be set up in the park — Strawberry Stage, Love Stage, Electronic Music Stage, Campus Stage and Star Stage for various types of music.
International bands such as Cut Copy (Australia), Swallow the Sun (Finland) and Club 8 (Sweden) will take part as will Chinese performers such as Maggie Cheung (Hong Kong), Anthony Wong (Hong Kong) and Crowd Lu (Taiwan).
The theme of this year’s festival is “SNS life is rubbish, get a real life,” since it aims to reduce the time people spend on electronic devices and encourage face-to-face activities. People are encouraged to strike up a conversation with strangers at the square nearby.
