KANGDING Road is one of those streets that drive tourists and newly arrived expatriates to despair. It meanders through Jing'an District for quite a distance. At one point pedestrians have to follow the crossing at Yanping Road for 50 meters, to find their way back to Kangding Road. Lined with trees, the street is full of little shops selling many things. But they are jumbled together with convenience stores or the occasional office building. But there is more to explore. Just a backyard away, there is a laid-back pub for after work get-togethers, authentic Taiwanese cuisine and more.
