FIGHT Club (US, 1999)

The mundane existence of an insomniac everyman is turned upside down when he meets a sadomasochistic anarchist secretly plotting to overthrow civilization. As their friendship grows, they become involved in a secret society of "fight clubs" where men act out their aggressions and violently beat one another to a pulp.

The film used quite a new method to express the inner space of people in modern society. Violent, bloody scenes reflected the contradictions inside Jack and Tyler.

The Boat That Rocked (UK, 2009)

In the 1960s, an eclectic group of rogue DJs on a boat anchored in international waters in the middle of the North Atlantic, broadcast rock and pop music to the United Kingdom. The records they played united and defined an entire generation and drove the British government crazy as they tried everything in their power to shut down and silence the pirate radio station.

This film presents to us a group of free-minded people who want to bring the thoughts, the happiness and the wind of freedom to people all over the world through music. It gives us the hope that the spirit of rock'n'roll will never die.

The Truman Show (US, 1998)

An insurance salesman learns that his life has been the basis of a popular, 24-hour-a-day television show, and that even his wife and mother are actors. He then attempts a daring escape.

This comedy starring Jim Carrey invites us to consider what is real and what is fake. The answer is up to us. Truman tells us that whatever the outcome is, carry on and find the answer by ourselves, the efforts won't be wasted.
