A CONFIDENCE builder is how American designer Michael Kors describes himself. And this is reflected in his 2013 autumn/winter collection, focusing on urban polish and athleticism to create a confident, powerful statement. Tropicana oranges and cobalt blues looked even brighter alongside black plastic zips and panelling in the collection showcased in Shanghai on Wednesday. Strong shapes, sharp shoulders and square cuts, aggressive zip detailing, Terminator-style shades and animal prints dominate the collection.
