An agreement to work together was signed on Tuesday between Shanghai Fashion Week, the Italian Footwear Manufacturers' Association and Milan-based trade and exhibition organizer Fiera Milano. Under the memorandum of understanding, the three stakeholders will jointly promote new high-end footwear trade fair MICAM Shanghai, which runs from April 9 to 11, during Shanghai Fashion Week. MICAM Shanghai is intended to help international manufacturers tap into the Chinese footwear market - the second largest in the world. Organizers hope the event will become a point of reference for footwear buyers from China. More than 600 companies and associations from Italy and other parts of the world are expected to attend.
