Hermes' Salon de Musique (music and dance performances) came to China for a fourth time earlier this month at Shanghai Center Theater. Guests, including French Consul General in Shanghai Emmanuel Lenain and Hermes managing director for the north Asia region Florian Craen, were treated to a work created by the talented French choreographer David Drouard. The annual event provided an engaging, multi-sensory experience, suffused with deep accents of jazz, gospel, blues and movement that were projected on the stage behind the twirling dancers. Three female dancers, two male dancers, a singer and three musicians evoked these archetypes on stage, in a spectacular cross-fertilization of arts and cultures that was kindled and supported by Hermes.
