Shang Xia Teahouse
SHANG Xia, a Chinese clothing and lifestyle brand, recently launched a pop-up open-air tea house, in the backyard of the brand’s flagship store at the fashion hub of Xintiandi. Conceived by Shanghai designer Jiang Qiong’er, Shang Xia was inspired by the famous Chinese gardens. The courtyard is decked in bamboos, and adorned by grotesque stone installations. It has zigzagging wooden and stone pathways. A selection of tea such as rosy-flavored oolong and tieguanyin from Dechuan Tea are served at a pavilion in the courtyard. Live performances by music bands are also being planned. The pop-up tea house will open to the public for about a month.
