Vans and arts
VANS, the action sports footwear brand, is holding global summer events to support creative self expression through music and art, and to showcase key stories from Vans fall 2012 Classics footwear collection. More than 600 guests attended a brand event recently at MAO Livehouse. Artist network Idle Beat's Nini Sum and Gregor Koerting created classic Shanghai-inspired screen print designs for tote bags, and graphic artists Elephant, Momo Shou, Ting, and Tyakasha created custom made slip-ons for guests. The event took note of old school classic Shanghai culture with a Chinese paper-cutting activity, candy art drawing and serving of traditional Shanghai delicacies.
