'US$300b in 2015'
GLOBAL e-commerce transaction volume will hit US$300 billion in 2015 - up 71 percent on 2012's figure, according to eBay's latest predication.
The business environment and improved networks will attract more consumers to try online shopping instead of purchasing in stores, according to eBay Chief Executive Officer John Donahoe.
With huge market demand, eBay's sales will hit US$21.5 billion in 2015, compared with 14.1 billion in 2012, says the company.
That forecast includes sales on eBay's online marketplace, payments processed by PayPal and other transactions linked to its various businesses, such as GSI Commerce.
