Beijing - Protecting wildlife
INTERNATIONAL Fund for Animal Welfare, together with a commercial shopping center, held an charity exhibition named "Hello, My Wildlife Friend" last week in Beijing to encourage people to act against wildlife-related products, such as shark fins and seal fur.
Many people wrote their promises on a 3-meter-high signing wall. "I know how the shark fins are collected is so brutal. No need to kill just to satisfy people's palate. I did not eat shark fins and will never eat them," one customer wrote.
The demand for animal products has become a major reason for extinction, the fund said.
