Highlighting bears鈥 plight
HONG Kong actress Karen Mok has teamed up with the Animals Asia Foundation and Chinese designer brand iHubb to launch a clothing range calling for better protection of the moon bear — also known as the Asiatic black bear.
T-shirts from the Karen Mok x iHubb “Save Me” moon bear collection feature a V-shaped pattern inspired by the crescent of white fur on the bear’s chest, and red lining stitches, symbolizing the wounds inflicted to collect their bile for use in traditional Chinese medicine. On the back is a small reflective image of a moon bear with the slogan “I am your honey Moonie!” created by Mok. The collection is available in stores and online at www.d2cmall.com.
