WORKS of Chinese multimedia artist Zhang Huan are featured in the exhibition titled "Looking East, Facing West" in the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids in the US state of Michigan. Zhuang's creations as a sculptor, painter, photographer and installation artist encompass themes of Chinese history and spiritual tranquility.
Works of sculpture are inspired by historical models and antique fragments of Buddha-related imagery. Several photo installations document Zhang's performance pieces. The exhibition runs through August 25.
