Rosenfelt again spins stellar legal yarn
WITH his sharp wit and skillful courtroom tactics, lawyer Andy Carpenter continues to shine in “Who Let the Dog Out?” the latest from author David Rosenfelt.
And what would a Rosenfelt novel be without a story line involving a dog?
In this latest story, a rescue dog is stolen, and a chip installed in the dog’s collar leads Carpenter and his colleagues to the culprit. When they arrive at the thief’s home, they find the dog‚ and the man’s dead body. The police soon have a suspect, but Carpenter believes the man is innocent of the murder, although guilty of other crimes. Was the victim hired to steal the dog? And if he was, why was the dog left at the crime scene?
The case soon steers to the murder of chemists, a confession to a robbery that didn’t happen and the gem trade. Chaos reigns, and Carpenter soon finds himself back in the courtroom, a place he never wanted to be again.
