Tokyo - Latest toys for everyone
A toy helicopter created from cannibalized smartphones is among the top attractions at a huge Tokyo toy show targeting the young and the young-at-heart.
The motor that makes a phone vibrate provides the power for the rotor blades of the Nano-Falcon, said to be the world's smallest radio-controlled helicopter.
The Tokyo International Toy Show also features tablet computers specifically for small children. MegaHouse's "Tap me" is developed for children between four and eight and includes built-in parental controls and a timer that limits use. US toy maker Mattel shows off its Apptivity Monkey, a fluffy monkey that holds iPhones and protects it from toddlers who can press buttons on its limbs to create music.
