United Kingdom - Online shopping king

Britain’s love of online shopping isn’t slowing, with average spending per household rising 16 percent in 2012 to 1,175 pounds (US$1,900), over twice the level in France and nearly 10 times spending in Italy, Ofcom said on Thursday. Consumers in Britain also order goods online more often than shoppers in any of the 17 countries surveyed for the annual International Communications Report. Some 73 percent bought items online at least monthly, and 24 percent weekly. Japan and Germany were in second and third place.
